This is surely the Croatian Riviera’s most famous location! There is so much to do and see in Hvar that you could easily fill an evening — and party through until the wee small hours…. take a day off at anchor in the adjacent islands…. and then head back into town to try the whole experience for a second night in a row!
As a suggestion, take in the late afternoon sunset from the tallest turret of the fortress above Hvar… and make your plans for the night. With such an inspiring panorama, and such an energising walk back down to the town below, you will be fully-charmed and ready to enjoy seafood delicacies as well as tempting desserts before walking the streets and buying souvenirs from one of the many wonderful shops in town. There are plenty of places at which to spend hours chatting with old friends and dancing with the locals.
If you wish to see another view of Hvar, you could always try your hand at manoeuvring a sea kayak! It is fun and it is environmentally friendly! With your guide showing the way, you will have a chance to paddle across to the tiny island in front of Hvar, Galesnik - home of the lonely donkey, “Mercedes”… this being the first of the Pakleni islands, which include Sv. Jerold and Marinkovac Island …with some gorgeous shingle beaches to view along the way.
