The INFINITY PACIFIC, newly arrived in Sydney Harbour after a busy season in the Whitsundays, welcomed myself and other brokers aboard this afternoon with soft ambience and sweet scents: her delightful crew smiling and happy to be a part of today’s “Open Day” at Jones Bay Wharf.

In what may yet prove to be one of the most memorable launches Sydney Harbour has seen this spring, today marks the offical launch of INFINITY PACIFIC’s summer charter season in Sydney Harbour, where she is set to acquire numerous day charters, overnight charters and multi-day charters in and around what is one of the world’s most magnificent natural harbours. The champagne was on ice as a colourful selection of canapés were brought up from the galley. My favourite “bite” was the miniature savoury tart with caramelised walnut, goats feta and beetroot. It was a beautiful day for such a gathering and with such a fine presentation today, I'm sure this beauty will be well received by locals and International visitors all summer long.

The sleek and sporty INFINITY PACIFIC is a Mondo Marine design of 40 metres, built in 2007 with a spacious interior accommodating a party of 10 guests in one master, two VIP and two twin cabins. She is also licensed to cater for up to 50 people for cocktail parties on deck.


INFINITY PACIFIC is elegant in an understated way, her interior by Luca Dini is modern chic, offering plenty of scope for both lavish entertainment and a quiet escape. Her teak decks are maintained in pristine condition, while a comfortable cushioned area on the aft deck invites guests to linger, enjoying the views over cocktails at sunset. Forward of this attractive, informal area are a partial circle of glass doors, opening onto the yacht’s interior. The deck saloon is designed to flow in and out of two private dining areas, set apart by a sumptuous seating area. Large windows bring light and dazzling scenery indoors, adding even more vibrancy to this space.

Upstairs from the main deck is the yacht's flybridge, serving as a roomy recreational area as well as an al fresco dining area. The yacht’s jacuzzi, large and somewhat shallow side, is set into the aft section of this deck and would certainly keep youngsters entertained for hours, when not covered by an expansive sunpad. There’s a chance to pursue many enjoyable activities aboard INFINITIY PACIFIC: the yacht carries a range of watersports options, including a blow-up slide for guests’ entertainment.

As for the yacht’s accommodation, the first cabin I visited was the full-width master cabin on the main deck, where I was greeted by a hint of lime and coconut - a subtle fragrance that reminded me of the Caribbean! This is a wonderful cabin with an abundance of space and huge windows to make the most of the passing scenery. Below deck, I was shown the VIP cabin located amidships and found it a very welcoming cabin — quiet and almost as spacious as the master cabin on the deck above. The forward VIP, also fitted with a queen-size berth, was the third full-width cabin on the yacht and I decided that it, too, had plenty of charm. The two twin cabins I walked through are identical in terms of layout and size and I was quick to notice that the artwork throughout is a beautifully created series of drawings of different types of corals and starfish.
