Is there any occasion more befitting for sipping champagne than an after-the-snorkelling Jacuzzi party? This was the discovery we made as we sat in the warm waters of Jacuzzi on the upper deck of MASTEKA 2, the elegant super yacht that we were calling home for a few days, and tasted our first glass of “bubbly”. There, moored just off the coral reefs of Ouen island, New Caledonia, we shared stories of our snorkelling adventure: swimming with white tip reef sharks and marvelling at how the reefs, teeming with colourful creatures, are so accessible here. And to top it all off, we were in a location all on our own and so while soaking in the Jacuzzi, we were entertained by the beauty and majesty of our surroundings.

The stylish MASTEKA 2, the first foreign-flagged super yacht with a charter licence in New Caledonia has just undergone a multi-million dollar refit and every inch of her 122 feet shines.
